Crystal Meth Anonymous

Crystal Meth Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other, so they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from addiction to crystal meth.

Detailed Description

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using. There are no dues or fees for CMA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. CMA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; and neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Their primary purpose is to lead a sober life and to carry the message of recovery to the crystal meth addict who still suffers.

Their website includes the following features.

  • Explanations of the group – its background, principles and methods
  • Meeting Finder (In Person and Online)
  • Free Pamphlets
  • Organization Information
  • Online Store

CMA was founded on September 16, 1994 in West Hollywood, California by Bill Coffey, a member of the 12 step recovery community in Los Angeles for over two decades at the time. The first group held its first meeting at the West Hollywood Alcohol and Drug Center, for which Bill Coffey was on the board of directors.[1] As of 2015, CMA had a presence in over 100 metropolitan areas of the United States, as well as parts of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Iran.
